We will remember Tony Chien
It is with great sadness that we learned that Tony Chien passed away suddenly but peacefully on January 27th in his 68th year.
From Doug Ratcliffe of Pioneer Sportsmen:
Many of you will have known Tony – he was a fixture at the Pioneer club for as long as I remember. Always helpful and good-humored and a mainstay in any competitions there.
Tony has been a valuable member of the Pioneer club and a good friend for nearly 40 years. He will be missed.
From ONTarget president Shari Akow:
Tony will always be remembered by our family as a happy, wonderful soul and such a pillar of our target shooting sports community. My deepest condolences to his loved ones.
From long time friend Sharon Bowes:
While the details are still to be confirmed, at this point in time it looks like Tony’s memorial service will be in the spring. Tony’s wife Elaine was looking at later in May and it will likely be an intimate service.I have also had people ask what charity(s) did Tony support. One of the main ones was the Salvation Army alternatively St. Mary’s Hospital where they provided very compassionate care would be a couple of suggestions. For those that attend the LSBA in Kitchener, I will have out some cards that can be signed this weekend and we will take them to the family.
