Learning Facilitator – IB (Rifle, Pistol or Shotgun:  Trap, Skeet):  This course will develop Learning Facilitators (LFs) to deliver the Instructor Beginner workshop.  As an LF you will train beginner coaches to teach basic technique to entry level shooters.  LFs are crucial to the development of skilled, knowledgeable coaches who are then able to develop safer, happier athletes/participants.  An LF should have the appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitudes to facilitate workshops using the competency-based approach.  You Must be committed to deliver discipline specific ‘Instructor Beginner Workshop’ a minimum of once a year.

The Course will be conducted in class over the span of two weekends (4 days).

This will be the first offering of this course and is being offered jointly.  We are looking for a few candidates in each shooting discipline and various areas of Ontario.  Preference will be given to candidates who have:  excellent facilitation skills; sound, advanced technical knowledge of discipline’s firearm(s); positive attitude and ability to work constructively with others; previous teaching/facilitating experience; coaching experience/knowledge in specific shooting discipline; various areas of Ontario.

Participants must be current, registered members of Shooting Federation of Canada (SFC).

To be considered for this initial course offering, send by email a very brief resume regarding information listed above, shooting discipline and experience.  Include your contact information (full name, address, phone number), SFC # and NCCP #.  If you don’t yet have a NCCP# you can get one by going to www.coach.ca and click on the Locker tab.
