ONTarget’s Club Level ISSF Pistol Official Course Now Online

ISSF pistol matches don’t happen on their own. They depend on clubs and volunteers who are willing to step forward and help. Many clubs face a growing challenge: finding volunteers with the confidence and knowledge to run safe, fair, and welcoming Olympic-style competitions. Without trained officials, clubs may reduce or cancel matches, limiting opportunities for club members and weakening the future of our sport.

ONTarget’s Club Level ISSF Pistol Officials’ Course was developed to help. You’ll learn:

the essentials of match safety,
officiating principles,
match planning,
range inspection,
pistols and equipment,
ISSF Olympic-style events,
equipment control,
malfunctions and irregularities,
and finally, scoring targets.

The benefits reach far beyond the firing line. Trained officials help clubs sustain their match programs, support member development, and create positive experiences for new competitors. Club matches also provide opportunities for new shooters to qualify as target shooters and obtain exemption letters for eligible target pistols, helping them continue their participation in the sport.
