Special Club level QFG Funding
Minister’s Letter – Club and QFG Funding – Shooters
Lisa MacLeod, Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries has advised the Ontario Council of Shooters that we could receive up to $225,316.77 provincial funding. What that means is that up to $202,785.00 in available funding could be divided amongst those clubs that have members under the OCS’s Member Organizations (made up of MLIMLA, ONTarget, OOTA, OPYA, ORA, OSSA) after the 10% Administrative fee has been retained.
These Funds must be distributed by May 31, 2022 and must be applied for by notifiying ONTarget by return email (president@ontariotarget.ca) by end of day Sunday, March 20, 2022 that must include the following information:
- Name of the community sport club
- Location of the member community sport club, (city, town)
- Contact name and email address from each member community sport club (club contact)
- Discipline(s) of that club (NOTE: If a club is multi disciplined, the club may only be funded once.)
Eligibility for funding under the Ministry Amending Agreement:
- Only community sport clubs that are members of MLIMLA, ONTarget, OOTA, OPTA, ORA, OSSA, are eligible to receive Funds
- Member community sport clubs supported through this funds will need to demonstrate that they incurred COVID-19 related expenses
- Eligible COVID-related expenses may be:
- increased operating costs directly related to the pandemic (e.g. costs of purchasing personal protective equipment, guards, sanitizing supplies);
- reduction of members and membership revenue during the pandemic;
- increased facility costs required to comply with the Reopening Ontario Act, 2020 and its regulations;
- operating deficits to maintain programming for fewer participants.
